Nursery Room Leader – Baby Room Boxmoor

We are currently looking for an experienced Nursery Room Leader to lead our newly renovated baby room at our Boxmoor nursery. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early years childcare and ready to take the next step in their career within a growing nursery group.

About The Role

As a Room Leader, you will play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children aged 0–2 years. You will lead a small team within the room, support children’s learning and development, and help maintain the high standards Flower Pots is known for.

This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for further training, development, and progression within the company.

Key Responsibilities

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Observing and recording children’s development

Planning and carrying out age-appropriate activities

Maintaining a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment

Following nursery policies and procedures at all times

Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

Leading and supporting the team within your room

Maintaining high standards of care and education

Supporting the wider management team within the nursery

What We’re Looking For

Experience working with children aged 0–2 years

Experience leading or supporting a small team

A full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (minimum)

Previous experience within an early years setting

Knowledge of safeguarding procedures

DSL experience desirable but not essential

An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role, which Flower Pots Day Nursery will arrange upon employment.
