About The Role

Flower Pots Day Nursery is looking for a caring and proactive Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing within a safe and stimulating environment.

As part of our nursery team, you will help create engaging experiences for children while supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery and maintaining the high standards Flower Pots is known for.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in providing high-quality childcare and education for babies and young children. You will support children through play-based learning, daily routines, and meaningful interactions while helping to create a welcoming and inclusive nursery environment.

You will also support colleagues within the setting, act as a positive role model for junior team members, and contribute to maintaining best practice across the nursery.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing

Maintaining a safe, caring, and inclusive environment

Completing observations, learning journals, and development records

Assisting with activity planning and age-appropriate experiences

Supporting hygiene routines, cleaning duties, and mealtimes

Following nursery policies, procedures, and health and safety standards

Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

Supporting and mentoring junior staff and students

Acting as a key worker for assigned children

Attending training sessions, meetings, and professional development opportunities

Supporting other Flower Pots settings where required

What We’re Looking For

A genuine passion for working with children

A positive and proactive attitude

Good communication and teamwork skills

Willingness to learn and complete a childcare qualification

A passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential

An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role, which Flower Pots Day Nursery will arrange upon employment.
