Baby Room

Our baby room is set up to feel calm, safe, and comfortable, especially for children settling in for the first time. We follow each baby’s routine from home as closely as possible, with dedicated spaces for sleep, feeding, and play. Throughout the day, babies can explore soft play equipment, sensory activities, and, when the weather allows, spend time outdoors in a relaxed and supported way.

Toddler Room

The toddler room encourages growing independence through everyday routines and play. Children are supported in developing confidence as they begin to self-serve, choose activities, and build early skills through a mix of structured and child-led experiences. Within this room, children are encouraged to potty train, working closely with parents to begin only when the child is ready.

Pre-School

In the pre-school room, children begin to engage in more focused activities that support early learning and development. Alongside child-led play, they explore skills such as problem-solving, early writing, and number recognition in a structured but engaging environment.

Classroom

In the classroom, children begin preparing for their move to school while still enjoying a playful and engaging environment. There’s a stronger focus on communication, early phonics, and building confidence in group situations, alongside plenty of opportunities for imaginative play. With access to their own courtyard and a two-storey playhouse, children can explore independently while developing the skills they’ll take with them into the classroom.

Outdoor Spaces

Outdoor play is a big part of life at our Tring nursery, and children spend time outside every day. The garden includes areas for climbing, digging, and imaginative play, as well as a forest-style space with a mud kitchen and a vegetable patch. These spaces give children the chance to explore, take on new challenges, and learn through hands-on experiences in the fresh air.
To the side of the garden, we also have a “vegetable/plant patch” that the children enjoy watering and watching grow. Once the vegetables have grown, the children will pick them and try them for their snacks.

Nursery Fees

Our Tring nursery offers full-day sessions from 08:00 to 18:00, with flexible options for earlier starts from 07:30 and later collections up to 18:30.

Fees include freshly prepared meals throughout the day, and a range of funded childcare options are available, including support for younger children and 15 and 30 hours funding for 3 and 4-year-olds. Our team will be happy to guide you through your options.

Why Families Choose Flower Pots

Flower Pots Day Nursery

Cannot praise Flower Pots enough. My little boy has been so, so happy here and really thrived under the care of his teachers. His personality and interests were expertly nurtured while also encouraging him to listen to others and enjoy their favourite games too, and he has been so well prepared for starting school this September. Fantastic team and setting with a lovely big outdoor area and a huge array of different educational and social activities each day.

Flower Pots Day Nursery

Our daughter attended Flower Pots from 3 after moving house from a different town and nursery. The staff made the transition between nurseries very easy. They have been a fantastic support for our child and ourselves, especially in preparing to start school. They are a great team and have built a wonderful relationship with us and our daughter. Flower Pots is a comfortable, supportive and happy setting for babies all the way up to pre-school children. We would highly recommend.

Flower Pots Day Nursery

Our daughter has been at the nursery since it opened when she was one. We honestly couldn’t be happier, the whole team, from the management to all the staff in the different rooms are wonderful. The atmosphere is lovely, there is such genuine care and love for the children. The kids spend plenty of time outside every day regardless of the weather, as well as a whole range of activities. Our daughter loves her nursery days and merrily strolls in now without a backwards glance! Charlotte and Gemma, you’ve been outstanding right from the start, thank you!
